Fonts already available on your machine remain accessible, previously activated fonts continue to work, and documents can still be opened and edited.
Offline mode does not change ownership, permissions, licensing decisions, or user intent. It simply reflects a temporary inability to communicate with online services.

Why offline mode exists
Loss of connectivity should not mean loss of productivity.
When users open documents, apply fonts, or continue ongoing creative work, they expect the application to behave predictably. Unexpected font deactivations, broken documents, or unclear failures can quickly erode trust.
Offline mode exists to provide clear and reliable behavior by answering three questions:
What continues to work?
What will complete when connectivity returns?
What requires an active internet connection?
The goal is to maintain confidence and continuity, even when the network is unavailable.
What is an offline mode
Offline mode is a network-driven state, not a setting that users manually enable.
The application enters offline mode when it can no longer reliably communicate with Connect+ services.
While offline:
Local device data becomes the primary source of truth.
Fonts already available on the machine continue working.
Certain cloud-backed actions may be deferred until connectivity returns.
Features that require live online services become unavailable.

Fonts stop working.
Previously activated fonts are removed.

How Connect+ behaves offline

Plugins and Offline Mode
Plugins follow the same offline behavior model as the Connect+ application.
While offline:

Local font activation can still succeed when font binaries exist locally.
Server-backed font retrieval and cloud resolution are unavailable.

Common Offline Scenarios
Temporary Loss of Internet
If connectivity is lost during an active session:

Opening Documents with Missing Fonts
If the fonts are available locally:
Fonts are activated automatically.
The document opens normally.
If the fonts exist only in the cloud:

Logging Out While Offline
If you choose to log out:
The local session is cleared.
You enter the normal logged-out state.
Because fonts require an authenticated session, fonts are disabled after logout. This is standard application behavior and not a limitation of offline mode.
Token Expiration While Offline
If authentication tokens expire while offline:
The session remains usable locally.
Users are not forcibly signed out.
Normal authentication checks resume once connectivity returns.
Extended Offline Usage
For licensing and entitlement protection, Connect+ enforces a maximum offline usage period.
30-Day Offline Limit
If a device remains offline for 30 consecutive days:
Fonts are deactivated immediately.
The application transitions to a logged-out state.
Reconnection and authentication are required to restore functionality.
No prior warning is provided.
This behavior is intentional and helps prevent deliberate attempts to bypass licensing requirements through indefinite offline use.
The 30-day limit is fixed and cannot be configured.
What Connect+ Deliberately Does Not Do
Even while offline, Connect+ does not:
Deactivate fonts simply because connectivity is lost.
Change ownership or account permissions.
Silently fail user actions.
Predict or assume server outcomes.
Require users to manually manage offline state.
The system is designed to be predictable, transparent, and reversible.
